While working as a physiotherapist, Dr. Fitzherbert Harry noticed that the patients who most needed care had the greatest difficulty getting to the clinic. In 2017, he was inspired to start Harry Physical Therapy and Wellness, a mobile practice to treat patients at home. “Seniors in our community have a hard time getting dressed and driving through crazy traffic.
It's more comfortable for them to be treated at home,” Dr. Harry said. “Our goal is to make clients stronger, and we can set realistic goals based on their environment.” Dr. Harry and his physical therapists work to ameliorate chronic pain and movement disorders such as Parkinson’s or multiple sclerosis, while improving balance and functional mobility for the activities of daily life. “I have a special place in my heart for older adults.
They’ve had careers, jobs, families—and now they can’t get out to do what they need and want to do. My business helps them improve their mobility and quality of life,” Dr. Harry said. After moving his business to the Orlando area in 2019, Dr. Harry found his first client through Facebook and continues to receive referrals through the platform.
He also joined a Facebook Group for physical therapists nationwide and began coaching professionals interested in starting their own practices. Thanks to this Group, his consulting business continues to expand. Dr. Harry attributes 40% of his brand awareness and 35-40% of his revenue to Facebook.
